AUCTION HOUSES AND INSURANCE COMPANIES
A cultural asset is an increasingly good safe-haven asset in the economy. Art business bases its activities and values on the pillars of CREDIBILITY, TRANSPARENCY, GUARANTEE, and RELIABILITY, which are indispensable to the customer. We can, through the scientific study of works of art, assist auction houses and insurance companies to confidently provide their customers with the real, effective values, and to act as a guarantor for the value of an artwork. With our services, we identify works of art by certifying the attributed value and by increasing the value of those about which little is known, because science is knowledge and knowledge is an added value.
WHAT DO WE OFFER
DIGITAL IDENTITY
BASIC LEVEL
The creation of a unique scientific information package about a work of art, regardless of its value and technical characteristics. The information is safely kept by DRiART and travels along with the work of art, which therefore becomes unique, non-reproducible, and non-exchangeable.
ADVANCED LEVEL
At the basic digital identity level, scientific information about both the technique and the history of the work are added defining the value of the object. At the advanced level, the digital identity is invisible to the naked eye and can be determined only through specific scientific analyses.
RECORD OF PRESERVATION
The examination of the overall state of preservation of the artwork by means of analytical techniques, including both imaging diagnostics and analytical diagnostics. In particular, attention is paid to the present and possible future critical aspects of the artwork, by creating an updateable technical report to monitor it over time and to note developments of the health of the object.
AUTHENTICATION AND CERTIFICATION
PRELIMINARY STUDY
We assess compatibility of the possible attribution of an artwork with fast and targeted analyses, and decide whether and how to proceed further. We propose this basic information as a first step in the process of selling, buying or securing the value of a work of art.
TARGETED STUDY
A set of scientific analyses aimed at disentangling crucial issues with regard to the attribution and the sale of an artwork. The study of a preparatory sketch, a signature, a support, a pigment, dating of a material, and the like. This can be accomplished straight away, or after a preliminary study.
COMPLETE STUDY
The maximum scientific and technological effort given to an artwork, in collaboration with art historians and conservators to obtain the most complete set of information possible about the materials, technique, dating, and state of preservation of the artefacts, whilst also recreating their history, geographical origin, and attribution.
